La Colorada is not currently Pan American’s premiere asset. However, the company is clearly investing in and messaging it as the key organic growth project that could become its flagship silver operation in the 2030s — provided the $1.9 billion expansion is successfully permitted, funded, and built. Juanicipio and the potential restart of Escobal will remain important, but an expanded La Colorada would give Pan American a large, long-life, low-cost silver engine under full ownership.
